Finally I got some short footages from the Cartoon Talk. So I quickly edited it and uploaded to Utube. Here's the link:
If you visit SDC now till end of Dec, you can get your hands on very exclusive tissue paper! It has a big red "Chope!"* on it, so you can confidently and glamorously reserve that food court seat you waited ten minutes for!
* For those of you foreign to Singaporean lingo, "CHOPE" means to reserve (a place or a seat) quickly. In crowded food centres, such a skill is important or you'll never get a free-seating table. Subsequently, a strange social custom developed in certain places where people can reserve a seat by placing a pack of tissue paper on the table while they go make orders at the self-service stalls. Dignity is a luxury when you are expected to be back at work in 30 minutes!
And now, back to our little Plug-and-Playful I-Pal computer!

Mangaka + I-Pal
I have uploaded my Mangaka speech on Utube. The speech explained how the judges decide who to reward for the competition. Just as importantly, it addressed the majority who did not go home with a trophy.
In the words of the late, great Kuo Pao Kun, "I'd rather have a big failure than a small victory. Because a big failure will enlighten me more."

Cartoon Drawing Workshop for the whole family!
Miel and I just conducted two 30-minute talks on 1st Nov (Thurs). They were really enjoyable sessions with about 600 Primary Six students. A brave, unabashed lot, we talked, laughed, made fun of and praised their patient and wonderful accompanying teachers. It's sessions like these that made me feel good days after - there really are few pleasures in life that can match the knowledge that you made kids laugh.
OK, there will be a longer workshop on 17th Nov. The details can be found below:
